After you install Internet Explorer, restart your computer, and then log
on to Windows NT 4.0, the System32 folder may be opened on your desktop
instead of the "Welcome - Microsoft Internet Explorer" screen. In
addition, the System32 folder may be opened when you attempt to open a
channel. In both cases, the following message is displayed in Event
Viewer:
Event ID 10010 The server {0002df01-0000-0000-c000-00000000046} did not register with DCOM within the required timeout. RESOLUTION
This problem no longer occurs in Internet Explorer 4.01 Service Pack 1.
