SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to start Authrest.exe from the Microsoft Exchange Server 5.5 CD, Authrest.exe fails and the following error message is displayed:

The dynamic link library edb.dll could not be found in the specified
path <PATH system variable>

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Exchange Server version 5.5. This problem was first corrected in Exchange Server 5.5 Service Pack 2.
