To transfer a file using Microsoft Chat to another chat room member, follow these steps:

Right-click the user name of the chat room member you want to send the file to, and then click Send File.
Type the name of the file in the File Name box (or browse to locate the file and click it), and then click Open.
When the Sending dialog box appears, you can click OK, or you can wait until the chat room member who is receiving the file accepts it, and then click OK. If you wait until the chat room member who is receiving the file accepts it, you are able to see the file transfer status.
