In the Internet Mail service in Microsoft Outlook 98, the spelling checker
may include the original message text even if you select the "Ignore
original message text in reply or forward" option.
CAUSE
You have the option to "Prefix each line of the original message" with a
"tick" mark selected.
RESOLUTION
Turn off "Reply Ticking."

The Internet Mail service in Outlook allows you to mark each line of the
original text of an e-mail reply with a special character. This character,
referred to as a "tick" mark, precedes each line of original text. The tick
mark is usually a greater than sign, a colon, or a vertical line (>, :, |).
Follow these steps to turn on Reply Ticking for e-mail messages:
