When you use Microsoft Money to manage your finances, you may start receiving error messages or notice unexpected symptoms. If you receive any one of the following error messages, you may have some damage in your Money data file:
This transaction cannot be entered
Money is not properly installed. Please try setup again.
Money could not write to your money file. The operation cannot be performed or another application finished this task before you.
Additionally, when you try to view saved reports, you may receive an error message that resembles the following:
Money cannot locate filename or cannot open it, possibly because it is a read-only file, you do not have permission to change it, or your disk drive is write-protected. If you have chosen the correct file and it cannot be accessed, you will need to click OK and then Restore your most recent backup file.
When you try to print checks, you may receive the following error message:
Due to changes in your Money file, the saved version of "report name" is no longer valid. Money has attempted to reset this report, but you should reset it manually to avoid unreliable information.
If you experience any one of the following symptoms, you may have some damage in your Money data file:

Method 4: Remove the bill dataNote Microsoft Money 2007 and Microsoft Money Plus provide a utility that lets you remove all the bill data from Money. Make sure that you note your bill information before you complete these steps. If you do not have bills entered into your register in Money, you may want to enter an instance into your register before you delete your bills so that you have a quick reference when you re-create your bills.
Method 5: Verify that the Temp Folder is Valid, and then Empty the Temp Folder
