After you install a later version of Outlook, if you wish to revert to Outlook 97, you must follow these steps:
If you installed the Standard version of Office 97, the information for the installed Office components is stored in the Off97Std.stf file. Outlook 97 and later version of Outlook share many of the same files. Some of these files are newer and contain different information; if you remove one version of Outlook, the other version will not function properly. Using Eraser97 or Eraser2k To Remove OutlookIf shared components are left on the computer after completing the steps is the previous section, you may receive errors when you attempt to start Outlook 97.
