WD98: Font Menu Does Not Work If Using Adobe Type Reunion

SYMPTOMS

When you use Adobe Type Reunion 2.0, English or Japanese versions, with Word 98 Macintosh Edition, the font list does not appear when you click the Font menu in the menu bar.

WORKAROUND

To see the Font menu drop down as expected, follow these steps:
  1. On the File menu, click Print Preview.
  2. Immediately click Close, to close and return to the document.
You can now access the Font menu in normal view.

NOTE: You will have to use this method each time you run Word.

STATUS

This problem occurs when you use Microsoft Word 98 Macintosh Edition and Adobe Type Reunion 2.0J (Japanese version) and 2.0 English version.
