Notice
If you've been managing your finances with the help of Microsoft Money, you should be aware that Microsoft discontinued all online services and assisted support for all versions of Money on January 31, 2011. (Microsoft discontinued sales of Money on June 20, 2009.) If you're looking for an alternative program, Microsoft has made the Money Plus Sunset versions available as a replacement for the following expired programs: Microsoft Money Essentials, Microsoft Money Deluxe, Microsoft Money Premium, Microsoft Money Home, and Microsoft Money Business. SYMPTOMS

When you use MSN Money Investing, the font is too small or too large.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because most of the MSN Money page uses the browser's font settings.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, change the browser's text size to the size that you want. To do this, start Microsoft Internet Explorer, and then select the text size that you want on the View menu.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, follow these steps:
  1. Start Internet Explorer.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
  3. On the bottom of the General tab, click Accessibility.
  4. Click to select the Ignore Font Sizes check box.
Test to see whether changing the browser's text size has any effect. If these steps do not resolve the issue, you can make global changes in Microsoft Windows to change the size of the text. In Windows, you can set the system fonts to Large Fonts or reduce the screen resolution. To do this, use the following method that is appropriate for your situation.

Note Because there are several versions of Microsoft Windows, the following steps may be different on your computer. If they are, see your product documentation to complete these steps.

Set the system fonts to Large Fonts

  1. Right-click an open area of the Windows desktop, and then click Properties.
  2. In the Display Properties dialog box, click the Settings tab.
  3. Click Large Fonts in the Font Size box, and then click OK.

Notice that when you select Large Fonts, you may experience unexpected results. For example, text may be truncated under certain circumstances.
  4. Click Yes when you are prompted to restart the computer.

Reduce the screen resolution

  1. Right-click an open area of the Windows desktop, and then click Properties.
  2. In the Display Properties dialog box, click the Settings tab.
  3. Under Screen Area, move the slider all the way to the left, so that the resolution reads "640 by 480 pixels."
  4. Click Apply. When you receive the following message, click OK:
Windows will now resize your desktop. This could take a few seconds, during which your screen might flicker. If Windows does not reappear correctly, wait 15 seconds, and your original settings will be restored.
  5. When the Monitor Setting dialog box appears on the screen, you receive the following message:
You resized your desktop. Do you want to keep the settings?
Click Yes to accept the new settings. Click No to decline.
