Windows 98 Screen Savers Appear Available in Windows 95

SYMPTOMS

If you upgrade from Microsoft Windows 95 to Windows 98 and then uninstall Windows 98, Windows 98 screen savers may remain on the list of available screen savers. If you try to select one of these screen savers, nothing happens.

RESOLUTION

To work around this problem, ignore the extra Windows 98 screen savers that appear on the list of available screen savers.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows 98.
