Nothing happens when you click the "I See The Chart" link

SYMPTOMS

When you download the MSN Money Investing ActiveX controls, the Web page displays a chart when the download is finished. If you click the I See The Chart link before you actually see the chart, the installation of the controls may be incomplete.

Note When Microsoft updates the Investing controls, you must download the new version of the controls before you can use Investing.

CAUSE

This issue may occur if your browser is configured to refuse cookies. If your browser refuses the MSN Money cookie, the Portfolio Manager page reloads the Download Controls page each time that you go to Portfolio, because the information in the cookie is used to determine if the current version of the controls are installed.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, do not click the I See The Chart link until you see the Download Complete bar chart.

If you are not sure if the download is finished, click the Refresh button on your browser tool bar. If you are prompted to accept a cookie, click OK or Yes.

If the issue continues to occur, verify that Microsoft Internet Explorer is configured to accept cookies. To do this, use the appropriate method for your version of Microsoft Internet Explorer.

On a computer that is running Windows Vista

Exit Internet Explorer.
Click Start

, and then click Control Panel.
Click Network and Internet, and then click Internet Options.
Click the Privacy tab.
Click Default to set the level to Medium.

Note Alternatively, click Advanced, and then set up specific cookie handling for moneycentral.msn.com or generally for msn.com.
Click OK.
Start Internet Explorer.
Visit the following MSN Money Investing Web site:
http://moneycentral.msn.com/investor
(http://moneycentral.msn.com/investor)
On the MSN Money Investing navigation bar, click Portfolio.
When you see the Download Complete bar chart, click I See The Chart.
If you are prompted to accept the MSN Money Investing cookie, click OK or Yes.

On a computer that is running Windows XP or an earlier version of Windows

Exit Internet Explorer.
Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
Double-click the Internet icon.
Click the Privacy tab.
If not already set to Medium, click the Default button to do this.

Note Alternatively, you can click the Edit button (in the Web Sites section) to setup specific cookie handling for the moneycentral.msn.com or in general for msn.com.
Click OK.
Start Internet Explorer.
Visit the following MSN Money Investing Web site:
http://moneycentral.msn.com/investor
(http://moneycentral.msn.com/investor)
On the MSN Money Investing navigation bar, click Portfolio.
When you see the Download Complete bar chart, click the I See The Chart link.
If you are prompted to accept the MSN Money Investing cookie, click OK or Yes.

Note After you finish installing the new MSN Money Investing software, re-enable your virus protection software.
