SYMPTOMS

When you try to open and new or existing document in Microsoft Word 98 Macintosh Edition, your Macintosh may stop responding (hang).

CAUSE

You are using Momentum Software PortDoubler or PowerPort Juggler.

WORKAROUND

Disable PortDoubler or PowerPort Juggler, or upgrade to the most current version of Momentum software.
