To hide the gridlines on a section of a worksheet, follow these steps:

Select the range of cells that you want to remove the gridlines from.
On the Format menu, click Cells.
In the Format Cells dialog box, click the Patterns tab. Click to select the color that matches the background color of your worksheet (usually white).
Click the Border tab. Click the arrow in the Color box, click the color that matches the color of the gridlines on your worksheet (usually Gray-25%), and then click Outline.
Click OK.

The gridlines are hidden in the selected area of the worksheet.
