SYMPTOMS

When you run Internet Explorer , you may receive the following error message:
Runtime Error 216 at 00009275.
Note that this behavior may occur intermittently.

CAUSE

This issue can occur if you are running the Oakley SmartWheel version 1.0 mouse driver.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, contact Oakley Data Services to inquire about the availability of a fix for this issue.

To work around this issue, use either of the following methods.

Method 1

Uninstall the Oakley SmartWheel version 1.0 mouse driver, and then install a Microsoft mouse driver. To do so, use the following steps:
1.Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Add/Remove Programs.
2.Click Oakley SmartWheel 1.0, click Add/Remove, and then click OK.
3.Install a Microsoft mouse driver. For information about how to do so, view the documentation included with your mouse or computer.

Method 2

Change the screen area in the Display Properties dialog box to 800 X 600 pixels. To do so, use the following steps:
1.Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Display.
2.Click the Settings tab, and then under Screen Area, move the slider to 800 X 600 pixels.
3.Click OK, click OK, and then click Yes.
