Log Off Command Missing From Start Menu in Windows 98

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to use the Log Off command on the Start menu, the Log Off command may be missing.

CAUSE

The behavior can occur if the TweakUI tool has been configured to remove the Log Off command from the Start menu.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, use TweakUI to enable the Log Off command on the Start menu. To do so, follow these steps:
1.Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click TweakUI.
2.On the Internet Explorer 4 tab, click the Allow Logoff check box to clear it, and then click OK.
3.Restart your computer.
