Article ID: 191797 - Last Review: January 23, 2007 - Revision: 1.2 Date Is Incorrect When Starting Windows 98 at MidnightThis article was previously published under Q191797 SYMPTOMS
When you start your computer at midnight, the date may not change or it
may be set two days ahead.
CAUSE
This behavior can occur if you start your computer within seconds of
midnight. The exact time is different on each computer, but there is less
than a one-second window of time in which the date does not change. In an
even smaller window of time, the date is incremented twice, which results
in it being ahead two days.
NOTE: If you are setting the date and time in the Autoexec.bat file, the window of time may be larger. RESOLUTION
To work around this issue, manually set the date using the Date/Time tool.
