To add a separator line to a menu, follow these steps:
To remove a separator, follow the steps 1-4, except in step 5, click Begin A Group (the check mark next to the command should disappear). For example, if you press CONTROL and click Columns on the Format menu, you will see that Begin A Group is selected. Selecting it removes the check mark from the item and removes the separator.
