SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Project 98, when you use the Analyze_Timescaled_Data macro to export data to Microsoft Excel, you may see any of the following symptoms when you view the data in Microsoft Excel:

Symptom 1: Cost or Work Values Are Greater Than Expected

Cost or work values for a task, resource or assignment may be greater than expected.

For example, a resource with 8h work and $1/hr cost will have the following values in Microsoft Excel:
Work 800.000,00h
Cost $800.000,00

Symptom 2: Costs Are Displayed in Scientific Notation

Costs are displayed in scientific notation (for example, 1E+07.00000) and are not included in totals.

Symptom 3: Costs Are Rounded to an Incorrect Value

Most commonly, only decimal values of costs are rounded to an incorrect value.

Symptom 4: Start and Finish times are not exported

Only start and finish dates are exported; start and finish times are not exported.
