SYMPTOMS

If a printer driver contains more than 20 files, it cannot be installed as a Point and Print driver from Windows NT computer to a Windows 95 computer.

Windows NT has a limitation on how many files Point to Print drivers can contain. In Service Pack 3 and earlier, the maximum number of files is 20. In Service Pack 4 and later, the limit has increased to 64.

RESOLUTION

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Windows NT 4.0 and Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition. This problem was first corrected in Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 4.0 and Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition Service Pack 4.
