Windows Update, you may not be able to connect to the Windows
Update Web site. However, you may be able to connect to the Windows Update Web
site by typing the following URL in the Address bar
of Internet Explorer: http://v4.update.microsoft.com Note If you are trying to access the Windows Update Web site from a
network, you may have to contact your System Administrator to activate this
option.CAUSEThis behavior may occur if the Windows Update link in the
Start menu is corrupted. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this behavior, delete and re-create the Start menu
link for Windows Update, and then reinstall the Wupdmgr.exe file. Delete and Re-Create the Start menu Link for Windows UpdateTo delete and re-create the Start menu link for Windows Update:
Reinstall the Wupdmgr.exe FileIf you still cannot view the Windows Update Web site, the Wupdmgr.exe file may be missing or corrupted. To reinstall the Wupdmgr.exe file, follow these steps:
