SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition, a gray box may appear in step 4 of the PivotTable Wizard, instead of the graphic that normally appears in the dialog box.

CAUSE

This problem may occur if you have used the Virus Search add-in for Excel 98 to scan your Excel files for the Laroux macro virus.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, quit Excel, and then restart Excel.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition.
