transfer agent (MTA) is unable to send mail over an X.400 connector, the MTA
leaks 1 CB if the number of connection attempts issued is more than 1.
Eventually, the MTA will report 9156 errors in the application event log and a
backlog of messages will begin to build. CAUSE This problem is caused by a bug in the MTA Winsock code.
RESOLUTIONExchange Server 5.0A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to correct the problem that is described in this article. Only apply it to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next P1 that contains this hotfix.To resolve this problem immediately, contact Microsoft Product Support Services to obtain the hotfix.
