bug fixes and other updates that help keep a product current. The updates in
service packs may include system administration tools, drivers, and additional
components, which are bundled for easy downloading. Each new service pack is
cumulative. Each new service pack contains all the fixes that exist in previous
service packs, as well as any new fixes. You do not need to install a previous
service pack before you install the latest one. For example, you do not need to
install Visual Studio 6.0 Service Pack 4 (SP4) before you apply Visual Studio
6.0 Service Pack 5 (SP5). Visual Studio 6.0 service packs affect the Professional and Enterprise Editions of the following products:
