SYMPTOMS

For your convenience, Microsoft is combining many of the Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Post-Service Pack 4 hotfixes into one self-installing package. For information on what fixes are included with this package, please see the following articles in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

The Post-SP4 Roll-up hotfix does not contain updated versions of the individual hotfixes.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows NT 4.0 or the individual software update. For information on obtaining the latest service pack, please go to:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Windows NT 4.0. This problem was first corrected in Windows NT version 4.0 Service Pack 5.
