When you are creating a project using Visual InterDev 6.0, the following
error might occur:
Unable to contact web server.
When trying to Open, Modify, or Save a file in an existing Web project, you receive the error:
An HTTP error occurred. The server could not complete your request. Contact your Internet service provider or Web server administrator to make sure that the server has the FrontPage Server Extensions installed, and that the Web application exists on that server.
CAUSE
This error occurs if Visual InterDev 6.0 is configured to use a proxy
server and you are connecting to a Web server on your intranet. By default,
Visual InterDev 6.0 uses the computer's system settings for its proxy
settings (note: the system settings set in Internet Explorer).
