In general, Visual InterDev 6.0 was not compatible with the Internet
Explorer 5.0 Beta. These issues have been addressed with the shipping ("non-beta") version of Internet
Explorer 5. However, you must install Internet Explorer without Compatibility Mode turned on. Problems
with the Compatibility Mode include HTML Editor anomalies in Visual InterDev such as missing tabs for
Design, Source, and Preview.

How to Uninstall Internet Explorer 5 Beta
Once Internet Explorer 5.0 beta is removed, Internet Explorer 5 can be installed using any of the
options except Compatibility Mode. Compatibility mode is turned on under the Custom Install
screen under the Advanced button.
