In FrontPage, when you insert a navigation bar in a shared border region,
the navigation bar on the home page may not appear when you open the page
in a Web browser.
CAUSE
This behavior occurs if the properties of the navigation bar are configured
for a setting that does not apply to the position of the page within the
navigational structure. For example, this problem will occur if the
navigation bar properties are set to display pages of the same level, but
the home page is located at a different level within the Web. It will also
occur if the navigation bar properties are set to display pages at the
parent level because the home page cannot have a parent page.
RESOLUTION
To work around this behavior, insert the navigation bar in an area of the
page that is not in the shared border and then configure the navigation bar
properties to display pages located at the correct level. To do this, start
FrontPage and follow these steps:
