Cannot Access Shares on a FPNW Server using Client32 v2.5 - 3.02

SYMPTOMS

If you are using Novell Client32 version 2.5 - 3.02 with Windows NT Server running File and Print Services for NetWare (FPNW), and you will not be able to access shares or delete directories or files from the SYSVOLUME folder of the FPNW server. When accessing the server using Windows NT Explorer, the contents of the SYS volume are inaccessible. When a user clicks the SYS volume, the contents are not displayed or an error box will be generated stating to check the correct path or filename.

RESOLUTION

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version 4.0. This problem was first corrected in Windows NT version 4.0 Service Pack 5.
