When you start Microsoft Outlook or initially connect to your SPRYNET Internet Mail server, you may receive the following error message:
Following this message, you may notice that sent mail does not leave your Outbox.
You could not be logged on to mail server: <servername>. Be sure your account information is accurate. If this problem persists, contact your Internet Service Provider.
This problem may be caused by incorrect settings in the Internet E-Mail Service properties.
Incorrect Settings Using the Internet E-Mail ServiceTo troubleshoot this problem, follow these steps:
SPRYNET's Internet Mail system currently uses one server for both receipt and sending of messages. If no server is specified in the Advanced Options of the original Internet Mail service profile, the Internet Mail server box will identify both the mail server from which you receive mail (incoming) and the mail server from which you send mail (outgoing).
The server name must be typed into both the Incoming Mail (POP3) and the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) boxes.
