When you attempt to use the System tool in Control Panel, you may
experience one of the following symptoms:
| • | The System tool is missing.

| • | When you double-click the System tool, nothing happens. |

This behavior can occur if one or both of the following files are missing
or damaged:

To resolve this behavior, follow these steps:
| 1. | Click Start, point to Find, and then click Files Or Folders.
|
| 2. | In the Named box, type "setup4.dll setupx.dll" (without quotation
marks), and then click Find Now.
|
| 3. | In the list of found files, right-click each file, click Rename, type a
new name for the file (such as Setup4.xxx or Setupx.xxx), and then
press ENTER.
|
| 4. | Quit the Find tool.
|
| 5. | Extract new copies of the Setup4.dll and Setupx.dll files from your
Windows 98 CD-ROM to the Windows\System folder using the System File
Checker tool. For information about how to extract a file using System
