Fix printing problems by resetting the print spooler

Symptoms

You cannot print from any program, and you may receive any of the following error messages when you try to print a document:

System error 1068 has occurred.
The dependency service or group failed to start.
Spooler SubSystem App has encountered a problem and needs to close.  We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Operation could not be completed. The print spooler service is not running.

Resolution

To fix this problem, reset the print spooler.

Fix it for me 

To automatically reset the print spooler, click the Fix this problem link. Then, click Run now button from the Automated Troubleshooting Services page and follow the steps in this wizard.

 Notes The Fix it solution can be run in either Light mode or Full mode. Light mode makes changes to the spooler that should not require you to make any additional changes. Full mode will restore the print spooler to default settings and require that you reinstall your printers.
