WINSOCK Accept() Returns Error 10022

SYMPTOMS

WINSOCK may return an error 10022 when trying to do an accept() on connections.

CAUSE

Code was added to Afd.sys that inadvertly causes this error to be returned if there is a driver layered above Afd.sys.

RESOLUTION

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Windows NT version 4.0. This problem was first corrected in Windows NT version 4.0 Service Pack 5.
