Information about the Browser Choice update for system administrators who are in managed environments that are under a Volume Licensing program

A Browser Choice update is available for users who are located in member countries of the European Economic Area. For more information about the Browser Choice update, see the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

The following information is provided to help system administrators manage the display of the Browser Choice update screen in managed personal computing environments that are under a Volume Licensing program.    

            Registry key:

                         HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\BrowserChoice 

             Value name:

                        Enable

             Value type:

                        DWORD 

             Possible values:

                        1          Display the Browser Choice update (default)

                        0          Do not display the Browser Choice update

NOTE: For Windows XP 64-bit machines, the registry key is located at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\BrowserChoice
