Symptoms

When you try to synchronize Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 for Microsoft Office Outlook with the CRM server after you install Update Rollup 7, you receive the following error message:

A SQL Server error occurred. Try this action again.

Additionally, the following error is listed in the CRM Platform trace:

Crm Exception: Message: , ErrorCode: -2147204784, InnerException: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Invalid object name 'SubscriptionManuallyTrackedObject'.

Cause

This issue occurs if the SubscriptionManuallyTrackedObject table does not exist in the <organization>_MSCRM database.

Note If an organization has been created after Update Rollup 7, Update Rollup 8, or Update Rollup 9 has been applied, you must rerun the update rollup installation to create the table for the new organization.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, reinstall Update Rollup 7, Update Rollup 8, or Update Rollup 9 on the CRM server. By doing this, you add the missing table. To avoid this issue in the future, install Update Rollup 10 before you create or import a new organization. To download Update Rollup 10, visit the following Microsoft website:

Update Rollup 10 for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 (KB 979347)
