OL2000: Printing to HP LaserJet 5Si/Si MX PS Printer Causes Invalid Page Fault

SYMPTOMS

When you use Microsoft Outlook 2000 to print to a HP LaserJet 5Si/Si MX PS printer, you may receive an error message. This error message may be inconsistent, appearing one time you print and not the other. The following is a list of error messages you may receive:

Outlook caused an invalid page fault in Rundll32.exe.

Rundll32.exe caused an invalid page fault in module Unknown.

Rundll32.exe caused an invalid page fault in HPLJ5SI.

Outlook caused an invalid page fault in HPLJ5SI.

In addition to these error messages, you may receive a blue screen Fatal Exception Error.

RESOLUTION

The above error messages may occur when using the HP LaserJet 5Si/5Si MX PS printer driver. If the error messages persist, try using a different LaserJet 5 series driver that is not configured for PostScript.
