SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:
  • You enable Wi-Fi by using the Wi-Fi Protected Access 2 (WPA2) certification on a Windows Embedded CE 6.0-based device.
  • You connect the device to a Wi-Fi access point.
  • You perform one of the following operations:
    • You disable and then enable Wi-Fi.
    • You suspend and then resume the device.
In this scenario, a memory leak occurs in the Wzcsvc.dll module. Additionally, if you perform the operations frequently, you may receive an “Out of memory” error message and the operating system may become unstable.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because objects that are created when Wi-Fi is enabled are not deleted when Wi-Fi is disabled. This causes the memory leak.
