When you attempt to open a text (.txt) file with Notepad, you may receive the following message:
This file is too large for Notepad to open. Would you like to use Wordpad to read this file?
If you then click Yes, the file is opened in WordPad. CAUSE
This issue can occur if the text file that you are trying to view with Notepad is larger than 64 kilobytes (KB). Notepad can only open files that are smaller than 64 KB.
RESOLUTION
To work around this limitation, click Yes to open your text file in WordPad.
