Cluster Disk with More Than 15 Logical Drives Fails to Go Online

SYMPTOMS

On cluster startup, the disk resource fails to go online if the disk has an extended partition that contains more than 15 logical drives on the shared SCSI bus.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Windows NT Server, Enterprise Edition version 4.0. This problem was first corrected in Windows NT version 4.0 Service Pack 5.
