This article was previously published under Q217662 SYMPTOMS When you run Office Setup by using the /j switch, including /ju and /jm, you may receive the following error message:
Error 1925. You do not have sufficient privileges to
complete this installation for all users of the machine. Log on as
administrator and then retry this installation. CAUSE You may receive the error message if you try to run Setup
by using the /j switch, and Office is currently installed with the /j switch. For example, if you do the following, the error message
appears:
WORKAROUND If you need to run Setup again by using the /j switch, uninstall Office first. Because the /j switch does not place an Office entry in the Add/Remove Programs list, follow these steps to uninstall Office:
