FTP Folders is a new shell extension in Internet Explorer 5.x, Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows Millennium Edition, and Windows 2000 that enables you to browse FTP sites in Windows Explorer or Internet Explorer using an Explorer-style folder-based interface. FTP Folders is included with the Internet Explorer Browsing Enhancements feature in Internet Explorer 5.x, which is installed only when you select a full or typical installation. FTP Folders is installed by default with Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows Millennium Edition, and Windows 2000. To disable FTP Folders, follow these steps:
