SBS 4.5 Fax Server Cover Page Note Field Cannot Handle Large Amount of Text

When you type a large amount of text or an extremely long line with no spaces in the Additional Note field of the Compose New Fax Wizard, the fax may be sent with only a portion of the text you typed.

This behavior occurs because the Additional Note field cannot wrap a long word to multiple lines or allow text to continue to an additional page after the buffer area assigned for notes is filled.

To work around this problem, compose notes in another program (such as Microsoft WordPad or Microsoft Word) and send the document to the fax printer.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.

Because the amount of space required for each character varies (depending on font styles and sizes), you cannot accurately determine a limit of characters a user can type.
