SYMPTOMS

You cannot install Windows NT 4.0 Routing and Remote Access Service (RRAS) with the unattended setup process on a computer that already has Windows NT 4.0 Service Pack 4 (or earlier) installed.

RESOLUTION

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was first corrected in Windows NT Server 4.0 Service Pack 5.
