When you try to print a document that contains Unicode characters that were entered by using the Arial Unicode MS font, the text is not printed.
CAUSE
When you print to a network print server, the print job is rendered on the server with the server's resources. If the printer server does not have the font on the server, the problem described in the "Symptoms" section of this article occurs.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, use one of the following methods.
Method 1: Turn on "Print TrueType as Graphics"To turn on the Print TrueType as graphics option, follow these steps:
Method 2: Install the Arial Unicode MS Font to ServerYou can install the Arial Unicode MS font to your print server. (See your network administrator.)STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
