An additional delay is caused by Office Communicator 2007 R2 when you put your computer in hibernation or in standby

SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:
  • You have a computer that has Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 R2 installed.
  • You are running an Office Communicator 2007 R2 client on the computer.
  • You put the operating system in hibernation or in standby.
In this scenario, you may experience an additional delay of 15 to 20 seconds. However, if the user first closes the Office Communicator 2007 R2 client and then puts the operating system in hibernation or in standby, it takes just several seconds. 

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, install the following update rollup:
