The Spooler Service LPR Monitor leaks private bytes each time an Event ID 2004 is logged and every four seconds thereafter until it reconnects to the remote printer.
CAUSE
The LPR Monitor was not properly releasing a resource each time a remote printer was reset and each time it attempted to reconnect.
RESOLUTIONWindows NT Server or Workstation 4.0To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows NT 4.0 or the individual software update. For information on obtaining the latest service pack, please go to:
