When you backup or restore data using the Backup tool, a report is created that displays the results of operation. You can view these reports by clicking Reports on the Tools menu in the Backup tool. The Backup tool keeps a copy of the last 10 reports and overwrites older reports as needed. The Backup tool does not provide a way to manually delete reports. There may be some circumstances where you need to manually delete one or more reports. WARNING: If you use Registry Editor incorrectly, you may cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that you can solve problems that result from using Registry Editor incorrectly. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.
To permanently delete a report so it no longer appears in the Backup tool, follow these steps:
