ERROR MESSAGE

When you start an Online Broadcast, you may receive the following error message while PowerPoint is validating all connections:
Audio capture source requested was not installed.

CAUSE

If an audio driver is not correctly installed on the presenter machine, you will receive the error message described in the Symptoms section of this article. This may also occur with older sound cards that are not on the Windows Compatibility list.

THINGS TO TRY

To resolve this problem, reinstall the drivers for your sound card as described in the manufacturer's instructions. Also, contact the manufacturer for the most up-to-date drivers for your sound card.

If you have an older sound card, you should contact the manufacturer about upgrading to a newer model.
