When you print a Word document containing a grouped drawing object with a gradient fill color pasted from Microsoft PowerPoint to a PostScript printer, Word may print the gradient fill color outside of the grouped drawing objects.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, use one of the following methods appropriate for your situation:
Method 1: Paste the Object as a Different TypeWhen you paste the grouped drawing object in Word, paste the object as either MS Office Drawing Object or Picture (GIF) using the following steps:
Method 2: Print to a Non-PostScript PrinterTo prevent this problem from occurring when you print the document, print to a PCL-type printer.STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
