WD2000: Calendar May Be Printed Without Month/Year Text on HP LaserJet 6P

When you print a calendar from the Calendar Wizard, the text for the month and year may not print.

NOTE: This problem occurs when you select the Boxes & borders calendar style in the Calendar Wizard.

The Hewlett-Packard LaserJet 6P printer driver installed by Microsoft Windows 98 or installed from the disk provided by Hewlett-Packard with the printer does not print white text on a black background (reverse text color).

NOTE: Microsoft Windows 98 installs version 1.20 of the Hewlett-Packard LaserJet 6P printer driver.

Download and install the 1.30 or later version of the Hewlett-Packard LaserJet 6P (PCL) printer driver from Hewlett-Packard.

After the printer driver has been updated, do the following steps in Word:

1. On the File menu, click Print.
2. In the Print dialog box, click Properties.
3. On the Fonts tab, click to select Download TrueType fonts as outline soft fonts.
4. Click OK to close the HP LaserJet 6P properties dialog box.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Hewlett-Packard LaserJet 6P printer driver version 1.20 for Microsoft Windows 95/98.
