PROBLEM

When you try to run the Office 365 Desktop Setup Tool to install the latest software updates that are required for Microsoft Office 365 connectivity, you receive the following error message:
Your computer requires an update to the Windows Installer Service

SOLUTION

To resolve this issue, install the latest version of the Windows Installer service. To install the latest version of the Windows Installer, connect to the Windows Update website (http://update.microsoft.com
(http://update.microsoft.com)
). Or, use the following URL:
