SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:

You have the Microsoft Windows Communication Foundation-based SAP adapter from Microsoft BizTalk Adapter Pack 2.0 installed on a computer that is running Microsoft BizTalk Server.

Note The Windows Communication Foundation-based SAP adapter is also known as Microsoft BizTalk Adapter for mySAP Business Suite 3.0.
You have the Microsoft .NET Framework Data Provider for mySAP Business Suite installed on the computer.
You use the .NET Framework Data Provider for mySAP Business Suite to execute a Remote Function Call (RFC) against the SAP system.
You use an RFC_BCD type of RFC, and the data that is returned from the SAP system contains decimals.

In this scenario, the decimal part of the data is lost. For example, you use the .NET Framework Data Provider for mySAP Business Suite to execute the following RFC. This RFC returns the Vendor Account Closing Balance data in Current Fiscal Year.

exec BAPI_AP_ACC_GETCURRENTBALANCE @companycode='1111', @vendor='EXT001'

In this example, you expect to receive a value of 12345.0560 if the actual data is 12345.0560. However, you receive a value of 12345.0000.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because of an error in the Microsoft.adapters.sap.dll file.

Cumulative update information

The hotfix that resolves this issue is included in Cumulative Update 1 for BizTalk Adapter Pack 2.0.
